# Global sections

6 min

Header, footer and recurring notices should be the same on every page. Global sections are maintained once and referenced on many pages. This lesson shows how a global section is placed and why a change to it affects every page that uses it.

## Key takeaways

- Global sections are maintained once.
- Pages reference the global section.
- Changes apply to every page that uses it.
