# View activity and the audit log

Cockpit records who did what and when: each environment's history shows creation, deployments, copies and migrations with person and time. The audit log in the Enterprise package also records every change across the organisation.

### Prerequisites

- Project with at least one environment

Last reviewed on October 15, 2026

When something changes on the storefront, the first question is usually: who did it, and when? Laioutr answers that on two levels.

### Activity log and history

Cockpit records member activity. For each environment, **History** lists everything done to it: created, deployed, copied, migrated, each with person and time, newest first. A copy appears in both environments, read from each side, such as *replaced by stage* and *copied onto dev*. For copies with a restore point, History offers **Undo**.

### Audit log

The audit log records at organisation level who changed what and when, human or AI agent, for example who changed a domain on Tuesday. This covers changes to licence assignments, partner actions under the partner's own identity and every step of a Laioutr support access. AI agents working through Laioutr MCP appear there as well.

The audit log is part of the Enterprise package.

## Step by step

1. 1 ### Step 1: Open environments

Open **Environments** in the project sidebar.
2. 2 ### Step 2: Open history

Choose **History** on the card of the environment.
3. 3 ### Step 3: Read entries

Entries show action, person and time, newest first. Copies show their direction.
4. 4 ### Step 4: Undo a copy

If needed, choose **Undo** on a copy. Only pages and sections are restored.
5. 5 ### Step 5: Check the audit log

In Enterprise organisations, open the organisation's audit log and review the changes in the period in question.

## Check the result

After a deployment, History shows a new entry with the name of the person who deployed and the time. After an Undo, pages and sections are back to their state before the copy.

## Frequently asked questions

Does Undo also restore markets and app versions?

No. Undo restores pages and sections only. Markets, languages, redirects, app versions and platform version stay as the copy left them.

What is the difference between history and the audit log?

History shows what happened to one environment. The audit log captures every change across the organisation, including members, licences and domains, and is part of the Enterprise package.

Are changes by AI agents recorded?

Yes. Calls through Laioutr MCP are logged; in the audit log they appear next to member actions. Publishing is still done by a person.

Is the history still there after deleting an environment?

No. Deleting an environment removes its history, its snapshots and the copies it took part in, including from the other environment's history.

Every project starts with the main environment, which is the live storefront. Further environments such as stage or dev run beside it as separate copies with their own address, pages, apps and deployments until their work is promoted to main.

Roles decide what a member can see and do in Cockpit. Besides the built-in roles Owner, Developer, Project Manager and Content Manager, the organisation defines custom roles with selected permissions under Roles and assigns them when inviting.

The service team gets a role of its own with exactly the permissions it needs and is invited to the organisation with that role. Billing, API keys and deployments stay out of reach.

Laioutr MCP connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client to Laioutr projects via OAuth. Once Laioutr has enabled it, signing in with the Laioutr account is enough; no API key is needed.
