When creating a project, a Blueprint is chosen, a pre-composed starter site matching industry and business model, whose pages are then adapted in Studio.

A Blueprint is a pre-composed starter site for an industry or business model, for example a B2C shop, a B2B shop or a content website. It brings ready-made pages such as home page, product list, product detail page and content pages, built from the sections and blocks of a Growth Kit.

A Blueprint is a starting state, not a straitjacket. Once applied, its pages belong to the project and are freely edited in Studio, extended or recomposed by AI agents; a person publishes. The brand comes in through design tokens: logo, colours and fonts.

A Blueprint is not a theme. In Laioutr, a theme is a set of design tokens for the look, whereas a Blueprint provides pages and their structure. Blueprints are available in all plans.

## Step by step

1. 1 ### Step 1: Create the project

In the organisation settings, click **Create project** in the **Projects** tab and enter a name.
2. 2 ### Step 2: Select a Blueprint

Pick the Blueprint that fits industry and business model. The preview shows which pages the Blueprint brings.
3. 3 ### Step 3: Apply the Blueprint

Confirm the selection. The project is created with the pages, sections and blocks of the Blueprint.
4. 4 ### Step 4: Apply the brand

Set logo, brand colours and fonts through the design tokens of the project. All Blueprint pages pick up the values automatically.
5. 5 ### Step 5: Adapt pages in Studio

Open **Studio**, replace texts and images, remove sections that are not needed and add new ones. Save the work with **Save**.

## Check the result

Studio shows the Blueprint pages in the layer tree, and the preview appears in the brand colours. Once the shop system is connected, product lists and product detail pages fill with real data.

## Frequently asked questions

Is a Blueprint the same as a theme?

No. A theme is a set of design tokens for colours, fonts and spacing. A Blueprint provides pre-composed pages with sections and blocks.

How do Growth Kit and Blueprint relate?

A Growth Kit bundles sections and blocks for an industry or business model. The Blueprint is the starter site composed from it.

Do Blueprints cost extra?

No. Blueprints are available in all plans.

Growth Kits are packages of Sections, Blocks, page templates and features for one business model: Shop, Content, Booking, Marketplace, Retail and Multichannel, SaaS, Publisher and Lists. Teams combine several kits in one project and find the building blocks in the Section library in Studio.

Design tokens are named variables for colours, fonts, spacing, radii and effects that every Laioutr UI component is built on. A theme assigns concrete values to these tokens and changes the look of the whole storefront without touching any component.

A landing page is created in Studio as a Landing Page type page with its own path and is assembled from installed sections: hero, content, a product slider with shop data, and header and footer as global sections.
