# Register deals and get accounts attributed
With deal registration in the Partner Portal, a partner reports a prospect to Laioutr. Once the prospect becomes a customer, its organisation stays linked to the partner account and generates credits.

Deal registrations: a partner reports a company it wants to win together with Laioutr and secures its kickback on it. Four steps, open to every partner type.
The partner names the company and its website, the contact person and their role, the line it expects and its own role in the deal, and adds some context.
Before anything is sent, the partner confirms that the contact agreed to be contacted by Laioutr and that it may share their details. The registration is kept at once, then handed to Laioutr's CRM as a deal attributed to the partner. Its status shows here and moves as the deal moves. A registration holds its domain: a second one for the same website hears only that it is already registered, never by whom.
The overview counts the open registrations, so the partner sees its pipeline at a glance.
On the platform host, the partner's page lists every registration and whether the CRM has it, here not yet, because this local copy has no pipeline chosen. From there it can be sent again, the contact invited, the organisation it became linked, or a duplicate rejected.
**Deal registration** records which partner brought which customer to Laioutr. Every partner type can register deals, whether or not it buys licences itself. The registration goes straight to the Laioutr sales team.
Laioutr checks every registration against existing customers and other registrations. The rule: the first valid registration wins. If a second partner registers the same domain, it sees a notice that the domain is already registered, without learning by whom.
A registration starts as **registered**, then becomes **accepted** or **rejected**, and ends as **converted** or **lost**. On conversion, the customer organisation is linked to the partner account. This link lasts for the entire lifetime of the customer and is the basis for credits on licences and add-ons. Registered deals also count towards the requirements of the Premier and Strategic tiers.
## Step by step
1. 1 ### Step 1: Open deal registration
Open **Deals** in the Partner Portal and select **Register deal**.
2. 2 ### Step 2: Enter the prospect
Enter company name, domain, contact person and the expected product line (**Sites** or **Commerce**). Briefly describe the state of the conversation in the note field.
3. 3 ### Step 3: Submit the registration
Submit the registration. The Partner Portal checks the domain immediately and reports if it is already registered or already a Laioutr customer.
4. 4 ### Step 4: Track the status
Track the status in the list of registrations. Rejected registrations state the reason, for example an existing customer relationship.
5. 5 ### Step 5: Link the organisation
When the prospect creates its organisation through the registration link, it is linked to the partner account automatically. For organisations that already exist, Laioutr creates the link manually.
## Check the result
The registration appears in the list with the status **registered** or **accepted**. After conversion, the customer organisation appears among the connected client organisations in the Partner Portal.
## Frequently asked questions
What happens if another partner registers the same prospect?
The first valid registration wins. The second partner only sees a notice that the domain is already registered.
Are there credits without a deal registration?
Credits require a link between the client organisation and the partner account. The link comes from a deal registration or, for White Label Partners, from buying the licence for the client.
Does the attribution ever end?
The link lasts for the entire lifetime of the customer. It only ends if the partner leaves the partner programme.
Can existing Laioutr customers be registered?
No. Laioutr rejects registrations for existing customers.
