# Partner profile: partner type and partner tier
Every partner account has exactly one partner type, which describes what the partner does, and exactly one partner tier (Authorized, Premier or Strategic), which sets its conditions. Both are shown in the partner profile in the Partner Portal.

This is the partner area. It lives inside Cockpit in the partner's own organisation and replaces that organisation's usual menu. Only the partner's owners see it.
The menu has four groups: partner portal, with the overview, customer organisations and deal registrations; money, with earnings and billing; account, with settings, branding and tiers and terms; and the organisation itself with its members.
At the top, the partner's name, its tier and its partner ID. The same three appear in the page header with the partner's type.
The overview opens with three counters: customer organisations, their live projects and open deal registrations. Complete your partner account lists what is still missing: business details, contact, tax, the payout account, consent to self-billing and an emergency developer contact. Each Add button opens the right place in settings, and the menu counts what is missing.
The tier card shows what Premier brings: 20% off Laioutr licences and 5% kickback on add-ons and group products. The other tiers sit beside it. Tiers and terms lays out every tier with the partner's own marked, what counts toward the kickback and what never does, and how each line is billed. The kickback is paid quarterly by self-billing invoice, never netted.
The partner profile places every partner account on two independent axes: the **partner type** describes what the partner does, the **partner tier** sets which conditions apply.
### Partner types
- **Solution Partners** deliver client projects on Laioutr, usually without reselling.
- **Technology Partners** offer systems that connect to Laioutr as an app.
- **Hosting Partners** run infrastructure on which Laioutr frontends operate.
- **Media Partners** spread content and project stories about Laioutr.
- **Service Partners** are freelancers and agencies providing services on the platform.
- **White Label Partners** sell frontends under their own brand and buy platform licences themselves.
### Partner tiers
After the partner sign-up, every partner is **Authorized**. **Premier** requires at least 3 certified people, 1 live project and 1 registered deal per year; **Strategic** requires at least 6 certified people, 3 live projects and 3 registered deals per year. From Premier on, partners get a fixed contact person at Laioutr, Strategic adds a quarterly review. Hosting Partners are always Authorized. The tier sets the credits on licences and add-ons; the Partner Portal shows the rates that apply.
## Step by step
1. 1 ### Step 1: Open the partner profile
Open **Profile** in the Partner Portal. It shows the partner type, the partner tier and the date from which the tier applies.
2. 2 ### Step 2: Check the conditions
Below the tier, the Partner Portal lists the rates for licences and add-ons. These values are the basis of all credits.
3. 3 ### Step 3: Review the tier history
The tier history lists every change with its date. A new tier applies from the next billing period.
## Frequently asked questions
Can a partner hold more than one partner type?
No. Every partner account has exactly one partner type and exactly one partner tier. If the type no longer fits the business, Laioutr partner management updates the entry.
Do conditions differ by partner type?
No, the rates per tier are the same for all partner types. The only difference: White Label Partners receive the licence condition when they buy licences instead of as a credit.
When does a partner move up a tier?
As soon as the tier requirements are met and Laioutr partner management agrees. The new tier applies from the next billing period.
What happens if a partner no longer meets the requirements?
The partner has 90 days to meet the requirements again before the tier is lowered. Authorized is kept in any case.
