# Manage client organisations in the Partner Portal

The Partner Portal lists every client organisation linked to the partner account. Partner members work in them with one login and the access the client granted, without being invited to each organisation.

A partner creates a customer organisation right from its overview: a name and the address it gets. The partner runs it from the first minute.

Customer organisations lists each one with its owner, projects, licences, add-ons, status and whether it earns kickback. A new customer is a starter until one of its projects holds a licence. An organisation never joins a partner by itself: the partner creates it, Laioutr links one that already exists, or a registered deal turns into it.

Inside the customer organisation, the partner invites the customer's own people the same way as in any organisation. The customer's contact becomes its owner. The customer's owner signs in. The organisation says who looks after it: Brightline Studio. The customer sees the partner, never where the partner lives.

Under members, the customer sees the partner's people and their level in its organisation. It can lower that level or revoke the access at once. The partnership itself and the partner's kickback stay.

The partner's own people get one more thing inside a customer: the way back. One click, and the partner's admin is in the partner area again.

</details>

Partners often work for many clients at once. Instead of being invited to every organisation one by one, the client organisation is linked to the partner account, through a deal registration or a White Label licence purchase.

The Partner Portal shows all linked client organisations with projects, licences, package usage and open tasks. Switching between clients needs no new login, and projects open directly in Studio.

- **Partner admin**: manages the partner team and assigns members to clients.
- **Partner member**: works only in the assigned client organisations.

The client decides which access the partner has in its organisation (admin, editor or billing viewer). For White Label clients, the partner is the provider and is admin by default. The client always sees which partner staff have access and can revoke it. Every change made by a partner member is logged in the client audit log with that person's name. For pitches, the partner creates Starter projects directly in the client organisation.

## Step by step

1. 1 ### Step 1: Open the client list

Open the **Clients** list in the Partner Portal. It shows all linked client organisations with projects, licences and package usage.
2. 2 ### Step 2: Assign members

As partner admin, select a partner member and assign the client organisations that person works in.
3. 3 ### Step 3: Switch clients

Click a client organisation in the list. Cockpit switches to that organisation without a new login.
4. 4 ### Step 4: Work on a project

Open a project and work in Studio. The client audit log records the changes with the name of the partner member.
5. 5 ### Step 5: Create a Starter project

For a pitch, create a new project in the client organisation. Without a licence, it runs on the free Starter plan.

## Check the result

The client organisation appears in the client list, the assigned partner member opens its projects without an invitation, and the client audit log shows changes with that person's name.

## Frequently asked questions

What happens when a client revokes partner access?

The partner members lose access to the organisation immediately. The link for kickbacks stays in place.

Does a partner need its own demo organisations?

No. For pitches, the partner creates Starter projects in the client organisation, next to the licensed projects.

Who sets the partner's access in the client organisation?

The client chooses admin, editor or billing viewer. For White Label clients, the partner is the provider and keeps admin access by default.

With deal registration in the Partner Portal, a partner reports a prospect to Laioutr. Once the prospect becomes a customer, its organisation stays linked to the partner account and generates credits.

White Label Partners buy platform licences (Solo, Plus, Growth, Pro) at their tier condition into a licence pool and assign them to projects in their client organisations. The client sees that the partner provides the licence, but no price.

Roles decide what a member can see and do in Cockpit. Besides the built-in roles Owner, Developer, Project Manager and Content Manager, the organisation defines custom roles with selected permissions under Roles and assigns them when inviting.
